A little over dramatic, maybe. But the rest of the kitchen looked so nice!
So of course I got on Pinterest and searched for ideas. We decided on a gray tinted chalkboard paint not only for the fun chalkboard use but for the natural slate look that it provides. It was so easy to do I don't know why I waited a year to finally do something with the area.

You know what would look cute. Plan old tin! No pattern just sheets of tin. I have about it and had it cut at a local HVAC place in town for CHEAP! And it looks good!!
ReplyDeleteOpps..I ment stainless steel!!
ReplyDeleteWow! That looks terrific. I've been toying the idea of stainless or other metal also, but seeing this chalk look - hmmmmmm..... Very cool
ReplyDeleteWell I did it and very happy with the result - I love the look of the chalk paint on the rougher areas of drywall - it makes it look intentional (it wasn't)! Thanks for the inspiration
